Rolex leads the way in Geneva
The Federation of the Swiss Watch Industry has reported that Rolex is the leading employer in the Canton of Geneva, with 4,025 employees (4,020 in 2009), according to the annual classification published by PME magazine.
Other watch manufacturers in the top 15 include Richemont in eighth place with 1,713 employees (1,795), and Patek Philippe (13th place) with 1,236 (1,241). Geneva’s financial market lost around 500 jobs in one year.
