Many watch brands have ambassadors and some ambassadors go one step further and are actively involved in the development of watch model.
The next step took Samuel Eto’o, the soccer star from Cameroun, when he presented his own watch brand at BaselWorld in 2009.His example is now followed by Celine Dion, the Canadian singer, who – after parfum and sunglasses – has launched her own watch collection, made in cooperation with and by Quintessential Timepieces. The collection consists of almost 50 models(!), unisex and for women, with prices in the 99-295 dollar range. In Canada the watches will be in the shops this autumn; the other important markets will follow next year
