Karel HubertMarc GläserIn 2011 DKSH acquired a majority shareholding in Maurice Lacroix, the watch company located in Saignelégier and Zurich. DKSH is a privately held company, principally owned by fourth generation descendants of the founders, and is one of the top 20 Swiss companies. The company, with over 22,500 specialized staff, offers sourcing, marketing sales, distribution and after-sales services for business partners, with a focus on Asia: of its 610 business locations 590 are located in Asia. Before the acquisition DKSH already held exclusive marketing and distribution rights to Maurice Lacroix products in Asia since 2008. Other shareholders in Maurice Lacroix are Zino Davidoff AG and Desco von Schulthess, the company that founded Maurice Lacroix in 1975.

To position Maurice Lacroix closer to the market and to the needs of the customers the function of Managing Director Maurice Lacroix has been created, effective January 1, 2012, by DKSH. The first Managing Director is Marc Gläser, who has held various executive functions at Maurice Lacroix over the past seven years. After the successful integration of Maurice Lacroix in DKSH, Martin Bachmann, the long-standing CEO of Maurice Lacroix, has decided to leave the company at the end of February 2012.
