Watch of the Year
This year 00/24 Horloges celebrates the 11th Watch of the Year competition! In this highly succesful competition a jury of acknowledged watch experts and enthusiasts award special prices in six categories. For the first time this year an overall winner is also selected. The jury makes its choice from a long list of over 100 watches, mainly nominated by watch producers and importers. Members of the jury also have the liberty to nominate watches themselves. In 2011, the readers of 00/24 Horloges may once more vote as well
The 11th Watch of the Year Awards took place on June 16, 2011 at the Dutch Hotels van Oranje, Noordwijk aan Zee. Over 140 importers, representatives and jewellers were present to hear during a one hour ceremony which watch won an award in one of the four price ranges, the ladies award, innovation award, special jury price and the readers award.
Well, you'll have to wait till June 16 to find out which watches have been crowned with the coveted 'Watch of the Year'-title. Yesterday evening the jury met at the Oranje Hotels in Dutch seaside town Noordwijk aan Zee.
Because over 6.000 readers of 00/24 Horloges and readers of our website have mailed in their personal votes for the 2011 Watch of the Year! Combined with the votes of the official jury the long list has been reduced to a short list of 19 watches.
This year’s Watch of the Year competition is different. All readers and web visitors can vote on their favorite watches in 5 categories. Voting has never been easier as you will see when you go to the online voting form. Our competitions always have been decided by narrow margins, so your vote can make a difference!
